How can artists assist and strengthen processes of participation?

As part of the “Wenn der Wald von der Stadt erzählt” project, writers engage with people in a Writers’ Room who are faced with citizens’ problems on a daily basis, for example members of the ambulance service, police and delivery services. The aim of these meetings is to create everyday literary episodes that tell of Graz and point to the future.

The plots take readers to different places, where the texts will be translated into a theatre play, with non-professionals also involved in this stage of the project.
