“Young People Acting” is dedicated to a theme of public perception that is drawing hundreds of thousands of young people out into the streets across Europe. The UN’s seventeen “Sustainable Development Goals” form the starting point of this theatre project for young people aged between sixteen and twenty-eight. The young people will discuss the UN goals together and develop a play characterised by forms of activism that will be staged at Kristallwerk. The focus is on future scenarios for Graz, implementation strategies for the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and discussions with decision-makers in Graz. Based on the InterACT approach, the project will be geared to participative, interactive art strategies and sets out to open up spaces for dialogue and encourage people to change the way they act and their perspectives.
