This large-scale project on sustainability and urban gardening spans the entire year, taking place in all districts of the city. The focus is on a vertical garden system made of local wood with the aid of which schools and assisted living facilities will develop little raised-bed gardens. The plan is to continue using the gardens for the long term and to develop them further after 2020.
In cooperation with the University College of Teacher Education Styria there will be accompanying workshops on such topics as climate, environment, sustainability, nutrition and materials. The “Let’s GRAZe” project thus forms a model network of business, science and education to explore the dynamic field of life and nature in the city.
