This scientific project looks at the question of active citizenry in search of possibilities of successful social interaction in an increasingly diverse population.
In a process based on participation and accompanied by artists, the scientific team at the University of Graz develops and researches the potentials of active urban citizenry in the context of a “Living Lab”. For this purpose there will be four half-day workshops in public space in cooperation with the Frauenservice Graz.
Taking an interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary approach, “Active Urban Citizenship” draws on the qualitative methods of action research, uniting educationalists, political and social scientists, human geographers and representatives from various fields of practice. With profound expertise, the team in Graz examines questions of relevance to cities throughout Europe.
