Queere Geschichte(n)

When tackling questions of the cultural identity of an urban society, scientists also focus on subcultures. This project is positioned between considerations of urban sociology (“How do we want to live?”) and a particular segment of urban culture, the queer community in Graz.

This community has achieved wider importance and recognition in society not least thanks to the Tuntenball event.

The “Queere Geschichte(n)” project adds new themes to existing subculture research and publications, presenting information to the public with the aid of a brochure, a website and four themed city walks. The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Rosalila PantherInnen association.
